ABOUT US
Wilson grew up on a grain and oilseed farm just outside of Rosetown, SK, and after completing a BSc in Plant Science from the University of Saskatchewan, went on to work for a number of chemical and fertilizer dealers in West Central Saskatchewan. While working in the ag retail system, Wilson became a member of the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists.
With a desire to work more directly with producers, Wilson left the ag retail industry to start his independent consulting company in September of 2004. Soil Sense Inc. began as a crop scouting and fertilizer recommendation business that provided customers with unbiased agronomic information. Today the business has grown to include cutting edge precision technologies, data management and other agronomic services. All of these services provide valuable information and proven returns to customers.
Wilson's role with SSI is to develop and maintain a strong agronomic foundation that continues to provide value to customers. He takes pride in developing strong relationships with all of his clients to best understand the direction in which their operations are moving. As a farmer, Wilson understands what it is like to have skin in the game and how important it is to make the best investments with your money.
